Before getting into the significance of Venus moving into Taurus in 2025, I’d like to quickly recap the Venus journey so far this year to give some context to this ingress.
*

The first third of 2025 was a very liminal time that is still unfolding. The mutable and cardinal signs have been hit especially hard. It’s likely most people who have strong Pisces or Aries placements have been through something very memorable, to say the least, over the last year or two and their life-world doesn’t resemble what it did late 2024 at all. A lot has transpired around relationships and personal values so far this year.
Many of us had to release control to the drift and flow of unyielding currents and be rushed away to a new beginning of some kind related to the Pisces and Aries parts of our charts; or people we know (knew, perhaps) fell into swift, rushing waters and were pulled away from us with all the turbulence and power of water: erosion, dissolution, unrelenting tidal force. All this to be reborn in some area of life.
Venus spent the last five months in only two signs: Pisces and Aries. What would normally take two months, took five because of a retrograde back and forth over the Aries zero-point of the zodiac.
The yearly cycle ends here and begins again at the first degree of Aries and typically any planets transiting over it carries with it the symbolism of this rebirth energy. The last degrees of Pisces are when the snow and ice melts, runs into the streams and rivers and seeps into the earth to nourish the soil as the rising light ignites new life. On March 20, the New Year Ram is set ablaze, light and dark equalize in the sky, and Light starts to rise toward its peak at the summer solstice. This is one reason why the Sun is exalted in Aries and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer.
In January, the North Node crossed over the zero-point back into Pisces, setting the stage for the next 18 months of eclipses. Then, the planetary parade across the Aries point began.
First the Moon, then Venus, then Moon again, then Mercury, then the Sun, then Venus again, then Mercury and the Moon again, then Neptune (not here since 1862), then Mercury again, then Venus again, and finally, Saturn on May 24 (not over this point since 1996) escaped the devouring whirlpools of 29 degrees of Pisces teeming with the sediment of last year, but bringing with it the promise of a new reality.
Venus had the wildest ride through this process. Venus entered pre-retrograde shadow at 24 degrees Pisces, right before the Aquarius New Moon on January 29. A new Venus story of some kind really started to transform around that time. Each time Venus passed over the zero-point her dignity radically shifted; going from exaltation to debilitation and back again, not moving into new territory until May 16.
This back and forth over 0 degrees Aries, for a lot us, signified a deep internal review of Venus-related topics within two starkly contrasting modes of expression because the energies of Pisces and Aries couldn’t be more different. Now, Venus is moving on and through to her springtime domicile.
Fast-forward to the last few days of May and first week of June 2025.
CHIRON
Saturn, having just moved into Aries, is once again co-present with Venus, after taking a 25 day break from each other after Venus finally left Pisces on April 30. Both are uncomfortable in Aries.
From May 24 until June 6, Saturn, Neptune, Venus and Chiron are together in the sign of the ram. The process of deep spiritual or romantic healing could start in earnest around this time. What needs to be done becomes more obvious now as a new reality or way of being in the world starts to solidify slowly into the new structures that will support a new chapter in our lives.
As Venus passes through the last degrees of Aries, two important things happen before the goddess finally moves into her earthy home of Taurus.
On June 1st, Venus conjoins Chiron at 25 degrees of Aries. Wounds or scars related to the recent Venus and Mars retrogrades are hopefully entering into healing phases now. Venus and Mars have just separated from a flowing fire trine; and as Venus passes over Chiron, Mars approaches Chiron to form a trine on June 10. This is very postive for pushing through any emotional rough patches around this time. The Moon passes over Mars in Leo this same day suggesting this wound is symbolically linked to our hearts, creativity, pride, or children.
There seems to be mutual, maybe melancholic, recognition or understanding between those entangled in this scenario that it’s time to move forward in some way and let time heal whatever needs healing.
Mercury, having just conjoined the Sun in it’s home sign of Gemini on May 29, sparked some clarity into an on -going situation. There’s a real possibility that this time could mark a final conversation and compassionate end to a relationship or partnership that perhaps started dissolving last December around the Sagittarius New Moon.
However, this could also be a time of reconciliation for that same relationship. This could be passionate and restorative make-up sex, for example. Whether it’s the end a romantic union or the healing reunion of one; new art projects getting started that have therapeutic drives or just a simple, playful experience with children or aging child-like friends; there’s likely a subtle awareness of time, impermanence, the sorrowful beauty of life and the cycles we’re all enmeshed in. Love heals. Harmony is available. Peace is a choice. Whatever the situation now, it too is fleeting.
VENUS SEXTILE JUPITER
On June 4th and 5th, Venus forms a sextile to Jupiter in the last degrees of Aries and Gemini.
This 60-degree Venusian aspect between the two most beneficial planetary energies ushers Venus gracefully into Taurus on June 6th. (Pay attention to what’s happening around this time for you; it will likely reverberate when Venus and Jupiter begin their new cycle and conjoin mid-August in the warm, nurturing radiance of Cancer. Look to where Cancer is in your chart to see where joy, desire and beauty might start to grow again.) This is a wonderful pairing.
Somewhat battle-scarred and exhausted, Venus enters her springtime temple. Just three days later, Jupiter enters Cancer, the sign of its exaltation.
Overall tensions will seem to ease a bit. Get-togethers with good food and drink and relaxing company or an indulgent date night are likely. You might take more of an interest in the finer things of life, or splurge on some luxury item you’ve had your eye on, or you decide to start a garden or new art project.
This is a very welcome transition after both have been in signs with expressions opposite their natures. Things that have felt stuck or stalled or uneasy gain some forward motion now.
It’s time to move forward and leave our recent Venus stories behind as we crossover into new meadows. It’s time to step onto solid, green earth and let your bare feet re-experience what that’s like. It will feel very different than it did before. Smoke is clearing and the fire line will soon be behind you. Splinters might need to be pulled from your feet and soot wiped from your cheeks, but soft grass is ahead.
URANUS
With Venus now in Taurus, she’s moved from being co-present with Saturn to being co-present with Uranus (there since 2018).
In general, a heaviness is lifting and the Venus areas of our charts will gain more effervescence and excitement in the coming month. Unexpected changes to your financial situation, a sudden romantic encounter, or light bulb moments in artistic pursuits are all more likely than usual as June carries on.
Societally, this puts focus on the economy and it’s volatility, unpredictability, and the inevitable revolution we’ll all be experiencing soon as the shift into digital currency takes shape, perhaps suddenly after Uranus fully enters Gemini in 2026.
Venus and Uranus eventually conjoin at the very last degree of Taurus before traveling into Gemini closely together around July 6. This is one of the most important ingresses of 2025, so much more to say about it as we get closer.

PLUTO
Before Venus enters Taurus fully, and the desire to peacefully re-center, set up camp in the tall wild flowers and relax amid the grazing silver bulls can be realized, a very important threshold must be passed through.
Once in Taurus, Venus starts to square Pluto in earnest, but will not be exact until June 9.
Pluto at 3 degrees Aquarius is serving as gate-keeper/guardian of the fixed cross now. As has been the case for months now, any ingress into Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius will encounter the Lord of the Underworld before moving forward through the sign.
Pluto transmutes. Pluto breaks down specific realms of our lives like compost breaks down organic matter. It intensifies decay and makes us inescapably aware of a deep regeneration at work in a very specific areas of our lives.
Pluto is a process. Pluto annihilates, creates space for new forms to form. Pluto is the slow, intense pressure converting carbon into diamond. It’s the process of gestation, sexual release into new creation. Pluto is evolution itself. Pluto is The Real at work behind the scenes, invisible and everywhere. There’s no avoidance permitted when Pluto transits key points in your chart.
And so, Venus will have a deep, possibly challenging chat with Pluto at the edge of the burning tree line before completely moving into the vibrant meadows of Taurus.
On December 7, 2024, Venus and Pluto started a new cycle at 0 degrees Aquarius. On June 9, 2025 the first quarter square of this Venus/Pluto cycle takes place. This means intense Venus stories evolving since December 7, 2024 are being tested and pushed through deeper transformations. Maybe they’re strong enough to keep evolving. In light of this, the Venus retrograde through Aries and Pisces could take on greater depth and meaning for you and make the undercurrents at play during that time more pronounced. There’s a corner to be turned when Venus squares Pluto.
One of the best things about this Venus ingress into Taurus is a sense of moving on into unknown Venusian territory. Love is moving on, for better or worse. New values are stabilizing and outdated ones are fading away. The world should seem a little brighte now.
Our Venus stories that’ve unfolded, reversed, refolded and unfolded again are finally ramping down or moving to a significantly different stage. Hard-won reconciliations are happening now, for some. For others, this Venus/Pluto square is the final death-blow to a very exhausting Venusian situation.
Our relationship with relationship, with our values, with what is newly important in our lives is transforming.
JUPITER & MERCURY
As the Venus/Pluto square is perfecting, Mercury is conjunct Jupiter culminating at the final degree of Gemini and starting to square Saturn and Neptune in Aries.
This conjunction and simultaneous Venus/Pluto square could signify a very powerful transformative communication or revelation regarding politics, the justice system and material wealth. The squares to Saturn and Neptune make me think conflict among leaders in government, the church, the legal system or military, perhaps regarding fraud or deception of some kind, is intensifying.
On a very general personal level, a transformative communication or revelation about a relationship, a personal finance issue, property or real estate could take place. A big mercury moment with some optimism around it is triggered. Events like getting accepted into a graduate program, publishing a book or important research paper, or an optimistic conversation about the future that leaves you feeling elated and has long-lasting meaning could occur. I expect this to be a big news day for the world as well.
On June 9 — the same day the Venus/Pluto square perfects — Jupiter enters Cancer (not here since 2014), though on its back foot. Jupiter can typically improve things a bit in the house where Cancer is for you, but this heavily depends on other details in your birth chart.
Jupiter squares Saturn for the third time since August 2024, marking a very important phase shift in their cycle; but this go-around the square is in Cardinal signs. The first two squares in this sequence where in Pisces and Gemini. This final one will have a different feel, an intiatory one. Whatever began to change in August 2024 is wrapping up in a significant way.
This is a pivotal time in 2025. This final square of the two largest planets will be amplified by the Sagittarius full moon on June 11. Jupiter, ruler of this full moon, newly exalted where the Sun shines its light for the longest amount of time -- the summer solstice degree -- is home.
More on the very important mid-June shifts to come.
